From the Sisters Ranger Station, travel generally N on Pine Street for 2.2 miles. The corner is about 240' W from the centerline of Pine Street.
Type of survey mark: 3" aluminum cap on aluminum pipe; about 6" below grade

What indicators are near the mark to help people identify where it is located?:
The sixteenth corner is at a SW fence corner. There are PROPERTY BOUNDARY and ATTENTION signs mounted on a T-post which bears E, 16" distant, and a PROPERTY BOUNDARY decal on a Carsonite post which bears N, 22" from the corner. Found two ponderosa pines with partly healed scribed blazes, yellow BEARING TREE tags and ATTENTION signs on the backsides. Finally, there is a 2-1/2" brass cap on a steel pipe which bears SW, about 23' distant. This was originally the sixteenth corner set by Ralph P. Thompson (Oregon Corner Restoration Record, Index File No. 0224), but was marked in 1981 as a REFERENCE MONUMENT by Raymond E. Oman. Supporting correspondence is available in survey CS00083, filed in the Deschutes County Surveyors Office.

What property is this mark defining?:
Private property NE from the corner, else Deschutes National Forest land; see also Oregon Corner Restoration Record, Index File No. 0221
