Leybourne Lakes Country Park which was opened in 2004, was created from disused gravel pits that have been flooded and landscaped to make fishing and wildlife lakes.
The park consistes of several lakes with footpath and cycle paths around them all. It is a lovely place to spend some time. As with all parks they have benches scattered around to sit on.
This one is dedicated to Alan Frank Harding.
The inscription on the plaque reads:
"InLoving Memory of Alan Frank Harding
2.8.1936 - 25.08.2006
Sadly Missed by family and Friends
M.I.Z.P.A.H."
