Originally this block was 2 separate ridge pole roofs with a piazza. Built by Moses Kendall. Used as the Lighthouse 1828 "Over the road from this building to the old schoolhouse which stood where the Town Hall now is was a wooden arch on which were words 'Boston and Barre Turnpike. Boston £6 Miles".
