The reinforced concrete bridge over the Anahulu Stream is technically called the "Anahulu Stream Bridge", but is colloquially known as "Rainbow Bridge" by all Oahu residents for its distinctive white double arches.

One of the most recognized symbols of the old town of Hale'iwa, it marks the Northern entrance to the town's business district. It was built in 1921 and replaces an earlier wooden structure.

The double-arch bridge's roadway is rather narrow: two cars can barely pass each other. More berth was given to foot traffic: there are footpaths at either side of the bridge.

The structure is also locally famous for simple -- and quite safe -- river jumping. A quick search for "Haleiwa Rainbow Bridge Jumping" on Youtube will come up with at least a dozen hits on this particular local activity.
