Das Objekt "Spiegelfaltung" befindet sich im Lichthof des Stadthauses auf einem weißen Fußbodenquadrat mit Lichtöffnungen. Es wurde aus der Geometrie des Würfels entwickelt. Das Objekt wird – in formmäßiger Annäherung an eine geöffnete, aufgefaltete Pyramide – von jeweils zwei stehenden und liegenden gleichschenkligen sowie einem um 45° geneigten Dreieck gebildet. Die Unterkonstruktion besteht aus feuerverzinktem Profilstahl. Das Licht wird von den glänzenden Oberflächen vielfältig gespiegelt und gebrochen sowie über das schräg gestellte Dreieck in den Bereich der Eingangshalle des Stadthauses reflektiert, so dass dieser relativ dunkle Standort am Schnittpunkt zwischen den Stadthaustürmen eine raumerweiternde Aufwertung erfährt.
Das Objekt ist rund um die Uhr frei zugänglich (24 h täglich).
The object "mirror folding (German: Spiegelfaltung)" is located in the atrium of the town hall (Stadthaus Bonn) on a white floor square with light openings. It was developed from the geometry of the cube. The object is formed - in a formal approximation to an opened, unfolded pyramid - of two standing and lying equilateral as well as a triangle inclined by 45°. The substructure consists of galvanized profile steel. The light is mirrored and reflected by the shining surfaces and reflected over the oblique triangle into the area of the entrance hall of the town hall, so that this relatively dark location takes a space-enhancing revaluation.
The artwork is free accessible around the clock (24 h daily).
