This is a strange location for an Ontario Department of Highways Land Surveys marker. There was no provincial highway near this location. Far to the south at the edge of concession 2 (Ottawa Front, Nepean) is Robertson Road, once part of Ontario highway 15. The western edge of lot 1 is Eagleson Road which was once the townline, dividing Nepean township from March and Goulbourn townships.
The marker is at the remnant of a junction of fences. One fence protects the north side of Timm Drive. The other fence marks the property line between lot 1 and lot 2 of concession 2 OF (Ottawa River Front) of Nepean township.
The marker is on low-lying land that will be under water at some times of the year.
The disk tops a metal post above ground. As expected with a Department of Highways marker, the unidentified marker is not listed in the CSRS (federal) or COSINE (provincial) database.
