"Um 830 entstand eine kleine Klosterkapelle. Sie wurde im 12./13. Jahrhundert durch die heutige dreischiffige, querschifflose Pfeilerbasilika mit dreitürmigem Westwerk ersetzt. In der Krypta befindet sich der Schrein mit den Gebeinen der Schutzpatronen dieser Kirche, der hl. Märtyrer Chrysantus und Daria. Die Kirche stellt ein besonders stattliches Meisterwerk unter den entsprechenden Kirchenbauten an Rhein und Maas in jener Epoche dar. Die Kirche ist ganztägig geöffnet."
