The warehouses face two streets , Cliff St and Croke Lane, the ones facing Cliff St were constructed in 1896 in the Federation Free Classical style with faced limestone on the ground floor and rendered brick on the upper. The other facing Cloke Lane was built in 1903 in the Federation Warehouse style with a rendered limestone and brick facade in the middle of which is a decorative stucco arch over the drive through entrance on the ground floor. the complex presently houses the offices of the Fremantle Herald and several other local newspapers.
