FR Historique : Cette collégiale d'origine romane (xie siècle) fut d'abord un prieuré des chanoines de l'abbaye de Saint-Ruf d'Avignon. Elle a été fortement remaniée aux xive et xviie siècles. En 1562, elle fut pillée et incendiée par le baron des Adrets. Au xviiie siècle, on y a installé un buffet d'orgue, exemple parfait de la facture provençale. Notre-Dame-de-Nazareth fit partie de la première liste de monuments historiques français, la liste des monuments historiques de 1840, qui comptait 1 034 monuments.
Décoration intérieure : La décoration intérieure, qui est due aux mêmes corporations de tailleurs de pierre et lapicides qui œuvrèrent à la cathédrale de Cavaillon et l'église de Saint-Restitut, est remarquable. Des thèmes identiques y sont développés : Daniel dans la fosse aux lions, un bouvier conduisant son char, deux griffons affrontés, Adam et Ève tentés par le serpent, un sonneur de cloches, un guerrier à cheval, etc.
Architecture : Le portail méridional de l'église Notre-Dame-de-Nazareth, bien que très abîmé, constitue un bel exemple d'art roman provençal inspiré de l'antique. Il est orné de colonnes engagées cannelées surmontées de chapiteaux à feuilles d'acanthe et d'un entablement à l'antique avec frise au-dessus duquel on devine les vestiges d'un fronton triangulaire.
La façade méridionale, disparate mais non dénuée de charme, porte les traces des nombreux remaniements subis par l'église Notre-Dame-de-Nazareth au cours des siècles.
Le portail occidental, d'un style gothique très sobre, date du xive siècle.


EN History : This collegiate church of Roman origin (eleventh century) was initially a priory of the canons of the Abbey of Saint-Ruf d'Avignon. It was greatly altered in the fourteenth and seventeenth centuries. In 1562, it was plundered and burnt by the Baron des Adrets. In the eighteenth century, an organ case was installed, a perfect example of the Provencal style. Notre-Dame-de-Nazareth was part of the first list of French historical monuments, the list of historic monuments of 1840, which had 1,034 monuments.
Interior Decoration : The interior decoration, which is due to the same corporations of stonemasons and lapicides who worked at the cathedral of Cavaillon and the church of St. Restitut, is remarkable. There are similar themes: Daniel in the lion's den, a bouvier driving his chariot, two griffins confronted, Adam and Eve tempted by the serpent, a bell ringer, a horse warrior, and so on.
Architecture : The southern portal of the church of Notre-Dame-de-Nazareth, although very damaged, is a fine example of Provencal Romanesque art inspired by the antique. It is decorated with fluted columns topped with capitals with acanthus leaves and an entablature in the antique with frieze above which one can guess the vestiges of a triangular pediment.
The southern façade, disparate but not devoid of charm, bears the traces of the many rearrangements suffered by the Church of Our Lady of Nazareth over the centuries.
The western portal, of a very sober Gothic style, dates from the fourteenth century.
