This Courthouse was built in 1911 by Frank Milburn. He was responsible for building 11 county courthouses in North Carolina along with 26 in the southern states. His style was the Ionic portico,cupola. Renovations were made in 1948.Courthouse is still being used today as courthouse. The second floor houses the courtroom.
