This Stone built bridge on Glen Road in Laxey at confluence of the Laxey River and the river draining Glen Roy is now the only remaining stone bridge on the lower reaches of the Laxey River.

The lower bridge collapsed om 3rd December 2015 during a storm which caused extensive flooding in Laxey and elsewhere in the Island. This bridge has been replaced by a bridge of a more contemporary design.

This stone bridge spans the Laxey River in a single arch which is at a very low angle and does not result in a humped back bridge.

The bridge is approximately 15 metres in length and approximately 2.5 metres high.

This bridge would have been important for the Woollen Mills that are located immediately down river over the bridge when travelling down Glen Road toward Old Laxey and the Harbour.
