Sur l'esplanade de l"Abbaye aux Hommes se trouvent les drapeaux des 28 pays de l'Europe, soit :l'Allemagne, l'Autriche, la Belgique, la Bulgarie, Chypre, la Croatie, le Danemark, l'Espagne, l'Estonie, la Finlande, la France, la Grèce, la Hongrie, l'Irlande, l'Italie, la Lituanie, la Lettonie, le Luxembourg, Malte, les Pays-Bas, la Pologne, le Portugal, la République tchèque, la Roumanie, le Royaume-Uni, la Slovaquie, la Slovénie et la Suède.
Depuis 1965, l’ancienne Abbaye-aux-Hommes devint le siège de l’Hôtel de Ville de Caen, l’un des plus beaux de France encore aujourd’hui et les drapeaux y ont été implantés.
On the esplanade of the Abbaye aux Hommes are the 28 flags of Europe, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Latvia, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom.
Since 1965, the old Abbaye-aux-Hommes became the headquarters of Caen Town Hall, one of the most beautiful in France Still today and the flags have been implanted there.
