[EN] This small museum offers an educational tour on the history of Bruges as the oldest diamond center in Europe, on diamond mining and on its size.

There is also a demonstration of diamond cutting done by one of the museum's employees. To see: Demonstration of diamond cutting every day at 12:15

Of the five museums in the world devoted to diamonds ("the Carboniferous Form of Eternity"), the Bruges Diamond Museum is the newest, which may seem surprising in a city where art Polishing dates back to the 15th century.

It is a museum dedicated to the work of diamond and the history of these precious stones. You will discover there reconstructed workshops of Lodewijk van Berquem, the first diamond polisher in Bruges, a replica of the crown of Marguerite of York or an evocation (in zirconium oxide, do not dream!) Of the annual world production of diamonds .
