The extensions to the Dhoon School included new classroom and a new sports hall.

The Foundation Stone has the following has an inscription in gold lettering that says that the stone was laid on the 27th September 2002.

Dhoon School is actually in the village of Glen Mona and takes its name from the original location of the School at Dhoon Bridge.
