This was the only Woodmen of the World headstone I found in Ashland Pioneer Cemetery. The WoW symbol was hard to read but enough of it is legible to decipher.
The headstone reads:
G.W. McConnell M.D.
Sept. 14, 1843.
FEB. 22, 1906.
ASLEEP IN JESUS

The California Medical Journal, Vol. 27, 1906 mentions the doctor's death and reads:
We regret to learn of the death of G. W. McConnell of Ashland, Oregon, on the 22nd of last month from hemorrhage of the stomach. The doctor was a graduate of the Electric Medical Institute, 1875. He came to Newburg, Oregon, in 1892, from there he went to Baker City. He moved to Ashland last September. He leaves a widow and three children.
