Baroque Church of St. James the Greater (Kostel Sv. Jakuba Vetšího), built in 1726-1727, is a principal landmark of Mnichovo Hradište historic town' core and also parish church of local Roman Catholic parish.
Church of the St. James, single-nave rectangular building with belfry at western side, was erected at the site of old Gothic church. Church's presbytery is cross vaulted, the nave and vestry have barrel vaults. The nave's upper part of barrel vault was replaced by a wooden ceiling. Exterior church's walls are segmented by pilasters and lesene frames. Interior and furniture are in Baroque and Rococo style.
