Ils ont logé au château jusqu'au milieu du XVIIème siècle.
A ce moment la dégradation du logis royal de ce château conduit le Gouverneur à venir résider à l'intérieur de la ville dans l'hôtel particulier
La disposition actuelle de la demeure date de la fin des années 1690.
Deux corps de logis latéraux sont reliés par une aile centrale, servant de cage d'escalier qui sépare la cour d'honneur d'une cour annexe, située à l'arrière.
Le majestueux escalier à double volée, pourvu d'une rampe en fer forgé est mis en scène dans l'axe de la porte cochère, elle même ornée, en son sommet d'un mascaron.
Le batiment est une propriété privée et ne se visite pas.

Two side rooms are connected by a central wing, serving as a staircase which separates the main courtyard from an annexed courtyard at the rear.
The majestic staircase with a double flight, equipped with a wrought iron railing, is staged in the axis of the porte cochere, itself adorned, at the top of a mascaron.
The building is a private property and can not be visited.
