The 2003 Pierce Rescue 8 meets the NC Rescue Association medium duty rescue equipment list. For after dark situation Rescue 8 has a 32KW generator for portable scene lighting and 9000-watt tower. Hurst hydraulic equipment, with 5 full-time reels, is used to extricate victims. Prying tools include Res-Q-Jacks and Paratech Struts. Stabilizing situations are handled by Airbags and cribbing. Other equipment include ventilation fans, hand tools, Swift Water Gear, and
Mobile air fill station.
