Isabell Mitchell's Headstone is one of several zinc headstones in Church Hill Cemetery to the side and rear of the Machiasport First Congregational Church.

Church Hill Cemetery is on a rise at the shore of Machias Bay, a very picturesque and pastoral location for a cemetery. As well as the zinc grave markers there are quite a number of veterans' gravesites. We were there around the Fourth of July and it was nice to see all the American Flags on the veterans' graves.

Isabell Mitchell's Headstone is near the center of the cemetery, off the southwest corner of the church. It is a medium sized headstone in the form of a stylized slab with a six petaled flower on each side above the inscription plates.
