The plaque reads (translation from French):

"L'Oustan Calendal was inaugurated on 2 March 2001 by Jean-Claude Gaudin Vice-President of the Senate, Mayor of Marseille, President of the Marseille Provence Métropole urban community / Jean-Pierre Tesseire being Mayor of Cassis."

The Oustau Calendal is the center of congresses and seminars of the commune of Cassis. Located at the harbor in the heart of the city, the Oustau Calendal is the ideal setting to organize your events. The center offers 1,000 m2 of air-conditioned spaces and 1,500 m2 of outdoor space, a roof terrace overlooking Cassis and its charming fishing port.

Jean-Claude Gaudin (born 1939) is a French politician for The Republicans. He has been Mayor of Marseille since 1995. He was a member of the National Assembly of France from Bouches-du-Rhône from 1978 to 1989 and has been a member of the French Senate from 1989 to 1995 and again from 1998. From 1995 to 1997, he served as Minister of Territorial Development in Alain Juppé's Second Cabinet. He served as Vice-President of the Senate from 1998 to 2011; as Vice-President of UMP 2002–2007 and as one of several Vice-Presidents for UMP 2013–2014.

L'Oustau Calendal est le centre de congrès et de séminaires de la commune de Cassis. Situé au port au coeur de la ville, l'Oustau Calendal est le cadre idéal pour organiser vos évènements. Le centre offre 1 000 m2 d'espaces climatisés et 1 500 m2 d'espaces extérieurs, une terrasse de toit qui surplombe Cassis et son charmant petit port de pêche.

Jean-Claude Gaudin, né le 8 octobre 1939 à Marseille (quartier de Mazargues), est un homme politique français. Ministre de l'Aménagement du territoire de 1995 à 1997, il est actuellement maire de Marseille, président de la métropole d'Aix-Marseille-Provence et sénateur des Bouches-du-Rhône. Il a été, à plusieurs reprises, président par intérim et vice-président de l'UMP, dont il a présidé le groupe au Sénat.
