[FR] L'oppidum d'Ensérune est situé près de la commune de Nissan-les-Ensérune sur une colline dominant le bassin biterrois. Il s'agit d'un remarquable exemple de vestiges d'une ville fortifiée gauloise qui s'est développée avec le temps.
Un musée est également présent au sein même du site.
Lorsqu'on arrive au sommet de la colline, on n'a pas immédiatement accès aux vestiges. Toutefois, on est fasciné par le splendide panorama donnant sur la plaine. De chaque côté du site, des tables d'orientation ont été aménagées afin de faciliter l'observation des communes avoisinantes.
[EN] The Ensérune oppidum is located near the town of Nissan-les-Ensérune on a hill overlooking the Béziers basin. It is a remarkable example of the vestiges of a Gaulish fortified town which has developed over time.
A museum is also present within the site itself.
When one reaches the top of the hill, one does not have immediate access to the vestiges. However, one is fascinated by the splendid panorama overlooking the plain. On each side of the site, orientation tables have been set up to facilitate the observation of neighboring municipalities.
