The Town of Scott was incorporated in 1815 from part of the Town of Preble. Its population in 1865 was 1,149. The town has remained fairly constant over the years. The population as of 2010 had bloomed all the way up to 1,165 hardy folks.

The Town Board meets here once a month, normally on Mondays at 7 pm.
