Buried and sealed by the city of Eau Claire on June 24, 1973, this time capsule was set to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Eau Claire. It was placed in Carson Park and sits on the ground of the Chippewa Valley Museum in front of the Sunnyview School. It is set to open in celebration of Eau Claire's bicentennial. It is commemorated with a stone plaque.
