[FR] Mémorial érigé à l'initiative du Comité de coordination des mouvements de la résistance d'Ille-et-Vilaine, financé par le conseil général d'Ille-et-Vilaine et la ville de Rennes - Oeuvre de l'architecte Jean VAUDELEAU - Mémorial inauguré le 26 avril 1975 - Il se trouve dans l'enceinte de l'ancienne caserne du Colombier où furent exécutés des résistants français et espagnols - Au centre d'un cercle de 30 dalles de granit surgissent deux flammes de pierre rose dont la plus grande rappelle la cheminée d'un four crématoire et la plus petite un poteau d'exécution - Une Croix de Lorraine a été rajoutée le 30 avril 1975 - Sur la dalle située sous la Croix de Lorraine, on peut lire "Memorial des martyrs de la réssitance et de la déportatation d'Ille-et-Vilaine. Le département reconnaissant" - Sous la dalle centrale, face à l'allée, repose un triangle de granit rose-rouge marqué de la lettre F des déportés politiques français - Sous les dalles sont enfouis des sachets de terre provenant de différents camps de concentration : "Ici reposent des cendres de déportés inconnus. Si l'écho de leur voix faiblit, nous périrons (Paul ELUARD)"- Les dalles sont des stèles commémoratives des camps de la mort : "Buchenwald, Dora, Mauthausen, Dachau, Gross-Rosen, Sachsenhausen, Hinzert, Papenburg, Natzweiler Struthof, Treblinka, Shirmeck, Bergen-Belsen, Belzec, Sobibor, Esterwegen, Chelmno, Rawa-Ruska, Kobierzyn, Terezin, Les cages de la Kempetai japonaise et tous autres lieux, Maidanek, Stutthof, Flossenburg, Ravensbrück, Neuengamme, Auschwitz Birkenau" - A l'arrière du monument, deux dalles rendent hommage aux résistants fusillés à la caserne du Colombier, à La Maltière (Saint-Jacques-de-La-Lande) et dans les autres lieux du département : "La Maltière, Le Colombier et tous les lieux d'exécution du département" - Un petit monument commémorative pour les victimes des persécutions racistes et antisémites se trouve à côté du Mémorial : "La République française en hommage aux victimes des persécutions racistes et antisémites et des crimes contre l'humanité commis sous l'autorité de fait dite 'Gouvernement de l'Etat Français'. 1940-1944. N'oublions jamais" .
