in gratitude to the 3,000,000 young men of the
civilian conservation corps
including over 55,000 in new mexico who served
in 1933-42 as part of president roosevelt's
nationwide tree army. the ccc worker on
conservation projects throughout new mexico
planting forests, controlling erosion, enhancing
our parks and building roads, bridges and dams.
they revitalized the land, their lives and left a
legacy to inspire future generations.
