Camp Barkeley Dog Park -- Abilene TX - Off-Leash Dog Areas on Waymarking.com

Camp Barkeley Dog Park near the Abilene Zoo has separate areas for large and small dogs, lots of benches, water fountains for humans and canines, and plenty of room to run and gave fun!

On the hot August night we visited, we met two very spoiled puppies who were happily drinking ice water -- with crushed ice, not cubes -- and from Sonic, not from Stripes.

Open Daily: Dawn to dusk. Camp Barkeley is an off leash park with 2-areas, 1-acre for small dogs (under 30 lbs.) and 2-acres for large dogs. The park has people benches, water, and waste bags on-site. Restrooms for humans are located near the Nelson Splash Pad just across the road from the dog park.
