Monroe County surveyor William Jung, found evidence of the NE corner of Section 11 on May 8th, 1979. During this survey he added this iron bar as a witness to that corner. The bar itself is in fantastic condition and is marked with a witness post. It's very hard to see as it is well within the brush of a tree line. Parking on the side of Jazz Road is the best for visiting. Watch for work trucks as there is an active limestone quarry at the dead end of Jazz Road.
