This sign has an image of "Champ" the lake monster of Lake Champlain, which could be a serpent-like creature or possibly among the last dinosaurs - a Plesiosaur.

In the town of Moriah, near the village of Port Henry, is this sign for Champ Sightings, which features an image of "Champ," the claimed lake monster of Lake Champlain.

The sign is along New York Route 9N, about 3/4 mile south of the center of the village and is next to a similar looking sign for the town of Moriah.

The sign is a multi-paneled display listings names of people who claim to have seen it. At the center is an artistic rendition, painted, of a serpent-like creature in water. The creature seems to be like an oversized snake - no limbs are visible. The head is dragon-like. The body coils in the water and end at a heart-shaped feature at the end of the tail.

A Wikipedia article says that there are several theories on what Champ may actually be (if it actually exists). The leading theory is that it is a kind of dinosaur - either a Plesiosaur or a Basilosaurus. Other theories include modern fish or eels.

But, I prefer that it is its own creature.
