This mausoleum, located in the Coburg Courtyard is the final resting place of Franz Friedrich Anton, Duke of Saxe-Coburg-Saalfeld and his wife Auguste Caroline Sophie.

The Duke passed away in 1806 and his son Duke Ernst I had this mausoleum built in 1817. It is made of sandstone and designed in the style of a Greek tomb. Duchess Auguste passed in 1837 and was placed here next to her husband.
