Bad Ems is a famous spa at the river Lahn. The town has seven mineral springs. The Römerquelle is placed near the spa gardens next to the casino of the town. Although its name is Römerquelle (Roman spring) there is no evidence that the Romans has used this spring, but it might be the case. Like all spings of Bad Ems the Römerquelle is a thermal spring and the temperatur of the water is about 42°C. It is helpful for digestion problems.
The spring is on underfloor level and covered by a oktogon-shaped gazebo in neo-classical style. The floor of the springhouse is covered a mosaic giving an atmosphere which rememberd the Roman culture.
