Barraba is a small country town which grew on the back of mining for gold, copper & asbestos but is now an agricultural and pastoral centre, with beef, fine wool and grains making up the major industries.
A commercial building bearing the year of construction & the owner's surname which was built at the beginning of the Great Depression. There are still stores operating from the building with the general state of repair fair.
