[EN] A menhir in the courtyard of an individual is the most important Auvergne (4.66 m above ground and 5 m in total, weighing more than 10 tonnes), was a historical monument in 1887. It was erected there are more than 5,000 years to the late Neolithic.
This menhir formerly called "Montotoux stone" (of Teutates, Gallic god) is now in the yard of a home winemaker.
[FR] Un menhir dans la cour d'un particulier est le plus important d'Auvergne (4,66 m au-dessus du sol et 5 m au total, pesant plus de 10 tonnes), fut classé monument historique en 1887. Il fut dressé il y a plus de 5000 ans, à la fin du Néolithique.
Ce menhir autrefois appelé « pierre de Montotoux » (de Teutatès, dieu gaulois) se trouve maintenant dans la cour d'une maison vigneronne.
