The railway-station of Bad Ems is part of the local train track Koblenz-Wetzlar (Lahntalbahn). At the end of the 19th century Bad Ems became a spa which was visited by the European nobility. For this reason the small station was build to be a more representative building. It has two tracks with a middle platform. The building has been planned by the architect Heinrich Veldel und was opened in 1858. It is said to have the smallest hall of all railway stations in Germany.
The last visible evidenvce of the gone pomp can be seen in the painting of the ceiling
