Vallie Willis' tree stump headstone is located in Cherokee National Cemetery, an historic cemetery on the National Register. Hers is a tall tree stump standing on four horizontal logs. At the top are the words "In Memoriam". Beneath that is a heart-shaped shield of the Woodmen Circle, with 13 stars and crossed implements.

The inscription engraved on the shield reads:
