The Domke building was built in 1922 for F.J. Domke and was originally used as a retail tire store. It was known as the Sparta Firestone Store. The original store owner was believed to be Ray Converse. After the great flood of 1943, Ed Mantzke purchased and remodeled the building after the building he was originally in was destroyed. The building was also known as Sparta General Tires. Today the building houses Denton's Hobby Shop.
