In 2002 wurde das 1976 von KRASNOE SORMOVO in Gorki (heute Nishny Novgorod) gebaute Unterseeboot zu einem Museum umgebaut. Es ist 90 meter lang, 8,72 breit und maximal 14,72 meter hoch. Der Platz im Boot ist sehr beschränkt, aber dort gibt es viel zu sehen. Bei einer Führung erfährt man noch mehr über das Leben auf dem Boot der Tango-Klasse. (

An seinem jetzigen Platz liegt es auf dem Grund des Flusses - bei Hochwasser (Flut) ist also weniger vom Boot zu sehen als bei Niedrigwasser (Ebbe).

This Submarine, a Russian Tango-boat, was originally built in 1976. In 2002 it was rebuilt into a museum. Now you can go inside. It is 90 meter long, but only 8,70 meter wide and up to 14 meter high. So there is not much space inside. Tours are offered.
Now the boat sits on the ground of the river Elbe. So at high tide you do not see as much from the boat as by low tide.
