The Belmont War Memorial was originally erected to commemorate those who died or were killed in World War One and comprises of a stone obelisk in the middle of two smaller memorial walls containing plaques erected in memory of the fallen of World War Two, Korea , Malaya and the Indonesian Confrontation and Vietnam.
The wording on the granite obelisk is:-
"Erected
To the memory of
Those who gave their lives
In the Great War
1914 - 1919
"Lest We forget""
