Since 600 Christl. Cult building. 1000 hall church. Around 1150 Roman pillar basilica. 1350-1430 rebuilding a Gothic hall church of the Augustine monastery. Destroyed in 1944. 1953 reconstruction. 1973-76 restoration. Leaning Tower landmark of the city.
