Depicted stone fountain with maiden statue decorates the main public space of town Valtice, Liberty Square (Námestí svobody).
Originally simple Baroque fountain, one of two historic Valtice municipal public sources of drinking water (180 hL/day), was reconstructed by prince Johann II of Liechtenstein in 1896.
New sandstone statue of maiden holding jug, work of sculptor Joseph Beuer, was erected on the fountain central column.
