Made of bronze the bench is placed right by the main entrance to the Kaubisch Memorial Public Library on Perry St.
Sitting on the bench is a young girl reading a Dr. Seuss story book to a cat which is a very good listener.
On the back of the bench there is a plaque on which is writen:

A gift to the Kaubisch Memorial Library
in honor of David and Jeanne Spellerberg
for instilling in their children and grandchildren
the love of books.
