Made of bronze the bench is placed right by the main entrance to the Kaubisch Memorial Public Library on Perry St.
Sitting on the bench is a young girl reading a Dr. Seuss story book to a cat which is a very good listener. The book is open and text and pictures from one of the story of Dr. Seuss are engraved inside.
The bench is a gift to the Kaubisch Memorial Library in honor of David and Jeanne Spellerberg. It was dedicated on Mother's Day in 2007.
