Established 1928. Brick and stone public school building with many fine artistic designs around the entrance and the top of the building. Some pieces are broken and weathered after 75+ years, but still beautiful.

Capitol Hill High School - 500 SW 36th St, Oklahoma City, OK 73109 Oklahoma City Public Schools. Serves grades 9-12.
Students enter the front door under a frieze made up of a slightly pointed arch. At the top of the decoration are small shields, underneath them is raised lettering with the name of the school. At the top corners are bas relief pictures of a medieval student (left) and teacher (right). There are flowered squares inset into the arch, as well as filigree motifs. At the bottom corners of the arches are sculpted faces of an adolescent boy (left) and girl (right). The middle of the arch has fleur-de-lis carvings.

The stone and brick work on this school is wonderful. Even the smokestack in the rear right has a pattern worked into the bricks. They don't make school buildings like this anymore.
