Strangely, however, this was the first time that we noticed a plaque inside which apprised us of the fact that we were standing in the very first Carl's Jr. to open in Canada. Possibly it was mounted only recently, or possibly we're just not that observant. Considering all the other cities in which the first Carl's Jr. might have opened, this is strange, but true. The sign indicates that the "FIRST", likely the opening of the outlet, occurred on June 1st, 2011.

If you've never tried a Carl's Jr. Portobello Burger, you should. There are lots of mushroom burgers being proffered in various establishments around the world, but, in our opinion these are the best. AAMOF, we've never even tried anything else at Carl's Jr.
