This mediëval Church has a very old cemetery around it.

The old cemetery surrounding the church is surrounded by a rustic ring wall, built of yellow Frisian bricks. The ring wall probably dates from the early 17th century, the same period when the tower was restored after previous destruction. The walls were designed to separate the sacred ground around the church unconsecrated ground outside. In 2011/2012, the boundary wall restored.
