Recovered in good condition as described in the NGS datasheet with the exception that Grass Lake railroad station no longer exists and neither does milepost 375. This BM is also listed on a topography map as 'BM 4923.' My more accurate coordinates should place you very close to this station.

DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1954 6.6 MI E FROM GRASS LAKE. 6.6 MILES EAST ALONG THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC COMPANY RAILROAD FROM THE STATION AT GRASS LAKE, 1 1/2 POLES NORTHEAST AND ACROSS THE TRACK FROM MILEPOLE 375, ON A ROCKY POINT, IN THE TOP OF A 3-BY 3-FOOT BOULDER, 24.5 FEET EAST OF THE EAST RAIL, 22.8 FEET WEST OF A FENCE, AND ABOUT 4 FEET HIGHER THAN THE TRACK.
