This time capsule was placed in 1976 by the Sanger Chamber of Commerce to commemorate America's bicentennial. It will be opened July 4th, 2076. The capsule is marked with a granite marker flush with the ground in the NW quadrant of Downtown park under a large oak tree.
The etched marker reads:
