"A religious building that appears to exist in the 12th century (1135) is quoted several times during the Middle Ages, particularly in 1296, 1339, 1371, 1464, 1474. Under the patronage of Saint-Martin, it seems to have a priest since 1135. presumably outdated and inadequate, the old church was demolished in favor of a further building rebuilt probably in 1758 (historical work). During the fighting in December 1944, the Shrine was destroyed and burned by the bombing. It was not until 1954 that begin reconstruction work on the basis of the remaining masonry earlier. Under the direction of architect Paul Kieffer, they complete four years later in 1958. The parish cemetery originally located on the perimeter has been moved to the east of the village. The enclosure, he remains."
