The Blue Star Marker stands where the Allen Park VA Medical Center stood from 1937 to 2002. The Allen Park VA Medical Center, on land donated to The United States Government by Henry and Clara Ford, provided solace and healing to the veterans of Michigan. Today, the marker stands in front of a memorial dedicated to the men and women of the United States armed forces.
