The sign hangs from the south west face of the building and is suspended from a highly decorated wrought iron bracket. The sign is made from wood and has the words "The Famous Old Punch Bowl" at the top beneath which is a circle containing, a faded, picture of a punch bowl and a man behind it pouring a drink into a challice. Punch, as a drink, has been around from the 1630s but this pub is not that old!
