Now shielded by a newer building, the lettering partially covered with coloured rendering, the end wall of Dove Street Brewery (formerly used by The Wolsey Theatre Costume Hire, Persian and Oriental Carpets dealer, fish and chip business), opposite The Dove public house's side entrance: a corn dealer's trade sign.
R.H. Kent is first listed as a corn dealer at number 1 Dove Street (formerly Dove Lane, a longer street) in 1909 and he continued right through until 1960; by then he was listed as 'R.H. Kent & Son, corn dealers'.
